I have had brothers from this church go to the HACK in Fort Lauderdale. While drug situation is everywhere in this city, and three counties. No one is getting raped at the HACK. Faith Farm started by Apostolic Pentecostal "Garland 'Pappy' Eastham" is another. Fights, thefts, but rapes? None to my knowledge.

Bro, the church family has already left the dock, you sound like you are still on the pier. Hit the prayer room, and let Jesus do His work.

Re: Young Man At Church About To Be Homeless...

In modern Churches a Pastor is one who preaches sermons. In the Church of Jesus a Pastor is a SHEPHERD. He is involved in the life of the sheep. Now if the Pastor knows the man is a tare, sure he can step back and let the chips fall.

If the man is faithful to Jesus except that he has no strong motivation to look for work let the Pastor have a talk with him about it. Has the guy been a giver to the ministry there? It would not be outrageous to even pay the guys rent for a month or two, with the understanding that he must be looking for work.

That or let him sleep in the Church building until he gets a place.

Bro B hit on this. I am sure there are things the Pastor knows about this young man that I don't know. What I do know is that things did not have go this far with this young man. He had and has within his power the ability to not let himself hit rock bottom naturally.

You are right. I am glad the misses was against me letting him move in. I just hope the Pastor and the misses are right.

If they are wrong, it could spell disaster for a young man whose only visible flaw is his lack of motivation.

The pastor has declared the church will not help.

So why is he still a member?

Re: Young Man At Church About To Be Homeless...

So I thought the great commandment was love? Now IF the man will NOT work, I get it. He is on his own. He has denied the faith and is either backslid or was never saved. So no one in this FELLOWSHIP thinks this man is worth assisting in his time of need?
