Uh...he wasn't executed. Do you guys really believe these cops thought "this guy has a bad heart. I bet if we attack him, he'll die"???

This happens from time to time but people with preexisting conditions who are combative or resisting arrest and get subdued have had attacks and or even died

People with preexisting conditions have died from tasers

This is exactly why I say I would not be surprised if more and more police quite and less become police. You can't function. You can't go out and arrest someone for fear they might drop dead from a preexisting condition. they will always be second guessed

Re: Saddened by NY Grand Jury Decision To NOT Indi

Patrick Lynch, President of New York City’s Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, went on CNN last night to discuss the Eric Garner case and how the police handled it. Perhaps you are tired of hearing this debated but I found it quite interesting as Lynch defended the officers of the NYPD against racism charges from the Mayor as well as defended the takedown by officers and put the blame squarely on Garner for resisting in the first place.

Lynch also helped represent the officer who did the takedown who was also the subject of the grand jury decision:

So you don't believe the choke, kneeling on the back and shoving the face and neck into the ground had anything to do with his death? It wasn't a preexisting condition which caused his death.

Quote:
the primary causes of death were "compression of neck (chokehold), compression of chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police"

Quote:
The city medical examiner has ruled the death of Eric Garner, the 43-year-old father whose death in police custody sparked national outrage, a homicide, saying a chokehold killed him.

The medical examiner said compression of the neck and chest, along with Garner's positioning on the ground while being restrained by police during the July 17 stop on Staten Island, caused his death.

I don't care how much you and PO protest and try to say you guys are the only one's thinking reasonably and I'm just basing everything on an emotional response...which is very demeaning and 100% wrong. I've used my brain as well, and agree with the Medical Examiner, Judge Napolitano (what an emotional idiot he must be, calling it a criminally negligent homicide), and a bunch of other conservative, emotional retards who aren't thinking with their brain.

And why was the defendant's lawyer given two hours to testify to the Grand Jury? Typically the defendant is not allowed to do so in a grand jury proceeding. It reeks of the Prosecutor doing more to protect the cop than actually doing his job.

If Garner had fallen down dead without the cops choking him, kneeling on his back and shoving his face into the ground, you might have a point. Read the autopsy, the primary cause was compression of the neck and chest and his positioning on the ground. He didn't just die of a preexisting condition, that's not the truth.

Of course this guy defended the cop and put the blame on Garner; he's a cop. You really believe he's going to tell the truth about what happened?

The Denver Police Union lied about students cheering an officer who was hit by a car.

Not going to believe what this guy is saying just because he wears a uniform. He's biased against any truth which would make the cop look bad.

No citizen should ever resist arrest. They were just going to take him in for a citation, but he resisted arrest. For the last time, it was Garner who put his own life on the line, ending it.

Please. They had no reason to arrest him. It's interesting they never proved he was selling that day or doing anything illegal. They killed him for his prior arrests.

I'd have done the same thing as him. They had no business touching him, no proof he was doing anything illegal. Watch the video. He never made a move against the cops. He stood there until the coward snuck up behind him and choked him to the ground.

If a dirty cop is trying to illegally arrest a citizen, that citizen should resist.

I guess I'm crazy too. The man did nothing wrong except for having a police record against him. Period.
