my wifes question would be, were your parents going for the boy the last 6 times???
Well, actually my brother, that was one year younger than me, died of a hole in his heart at 3 months old. My mother fainted when the nurse came through the doors to tell her. I have a picture of me sitting on the bed and him crying.
Would have been nice to have had a brother closer to my age. My little brother is ten years younger.
I do not like confrontations and will avoid them if I can. I had to learn to confront issues in my job- and got comfortable doing so, but when I retired, I slipped by into my original comfort zone.
The options are limited. I voted that I am a fighter as I will not back down on some things when confronted. And I have been known to stand my ground if I really feel strongly about something or if I feel I am being unjustly attacked. On the other hand, some things are not worth my effort as no matter what is said, the other person(s) will not change, see my point, accept they are wrong. Of course, if I'm wrong I'm not going to press the issue, either!

Amen. . .I know what you mean!! (I'm still learning to do this, but it's getting easier for me)
I started this thread last night & got talking on the phone with a brother in the Lord last night.
It is interesting to note about the responses. Yes. I will fight for truth, but what would be your reaction when a "disagreement" occurs over something other than doctrine?
