Re: Emotional Adultery

(laughing) From a biblical standpoint there is no correlation between wisdom and fire. See I Kings 11........

Re: Emotional Adultery

I cannot think of a more perfect example of clueless people judging situations than jumping from "classmates emails" immediately to "emotional adultery"

Re: Emotional Adultery

It sounds more like a soul tie. If a high school reunion was coming up, and this guy met up with an old girlfriend through this classmates site, it sounds like he was reliving memories of their time together. In quite a nostalgic way. Needs to be nipped in the bud immediately.

(laughing) You are advised to stick to attacking me. You are certainly more successful at that than you are at attacking what I say.

In circumstances like this that is probably the most condescending phrase of all time. I will pray for you is too often used to show that we are better than someone else. It's not always used that way but it often is.

by jfrogs interpretation the phrase "I will pray for you" means "I will offer help/prayer for you because you are obviously wrong and in need of a great deal of help"

I didn't mean for it to be condescending at all - I meant it.

Most Christians do mean they will pray. But the phrase still carries that connotation when used in the middle of a disagreement.

EDIT: I mean what other reason did you have to tell him, when you did, that you would pray for him? Could you not have prayed for him without telling him that you would? So why did you want him to know at this moment that you would be praying for him?
