Strike A Victory For The Big Oil Companies
On Feb 1 2008 all Gas sold in B.C. must be prepaid.
Since Jan 2007 Gas bought at the pumps during the hours of 10 pm - 6 am had to be pre paid.

I could see that to protect late night workers, but 24/7????
Big Oil Companies call the shots in B.C.

I don't get it....you mean you have to pay for the gas before it's pumped?

Yes we do, but at times the interact system is down & if you use cash, it will have to be prepaid!

It's already that way in the small town I live in. Too many people were driving off without paying. Anyone paying cash has to pay before pumping. Otherwise, use a credit or debit card at the pump.

How is it received there?
I would have thought that Oil Companies couldn't get away with this?

It's been that way for years here....you know we even have to pay for groceries before eating them....what's with that?

Ah Prax, wrong analogy unless that same grocery store asks you to lay a fifty dollar bill on the counter before you even shop.
