The Skluzaceks have been fixtures at POA for years.

I hope, for the sake of the oneness pentecostal movement, that many more articles like this are printed in newspapers in the years ahead.

Now THIS is "shining your light before men" - in sharp contradistinction to the ignorant "hothouse" mentality propagated in oneness pentecostalism.

Morey Sluzacek is a pentecostal young man. And in the words of Dan Alicea and despite the gnashing of teeth of the radical right: he's "just as apostolic as you."

By being a person of good character and gaining the respect of coaches, teachers, team members and others, a lot is said by his life. The "words" might happen or they might not, depending on how God leads.

There's an old poem which I may not be able to quote accurately but you'll get the gist of it, anyway.

We are writing a gospel, a chapter a day,
by deeds that we do and words that we say.
Men read what we right, whether faithless or true.

My son plays high school ball.

It has never interfered with his walk with God.

As a matter of fact, the community really supports him. Lots of his teammates have come to church with him.

He plans on becoming a teacher/basketball coach after college.
