Unhappy I hate Early Morning Calls

Phone rang at 6:00 this morning PDT & it was not good!
Apparently when my wife was growing up, she went to live with her Grandma & Grandpa & she had an unmarried aunt who took care of her.
She was almost like a second mom.
She also was her Godmother.

She passed away in the Philippines last night.

My wife aside from being broken hearted, & sad that she couldn't bring our kids back to see her yet, she also is troubled at where her soul is in eternity.

Late night or early morning calls never bring good news.

Re: I hate Early Morning Calls

Sorry to hear about it, Ron. We also got a call at 6:00 a.m. a few weeks ago telling us that my husband's mother passed away. You always know when that phone rings very later or early it's not going to be good news.

Praying for your wife!

Re: I hate Early Morning Calls

I understand what you mean. Our call was at 12:30AM, my wifes father had been killed in a motorcycle accident earlier that day and no one was informed until after midnight. We also had the issue with his eternal soul. He had been in church, had served God, and had been filled with the Holy Ghost. For several years he had not been serving God. What helped us has been knowing that our God is just and merciful.

Our prayers go up for your wife and family.

He doing okay now. I was more worried about his father. It was taking a toll on him driving into town to feed her every day at lunch and spending the $3,000 on nursing home fees. Everyone is fine now.

Actually no. It was 11 years ago but it feels like yesterday sometimes.
I will never forget that call nor the following 4 days as long as I live. He was 48 years old.
I had to call our pastor, at that time, and ask him to pray for my wife. She was very upset. We had calls from her family coming in and calls from the Highway Patrol. They sent a patolman and psychiatrist to our house to check up on us. When I had called them to verify the broken information we were gettting from my mother-in-law they heard my wife in the back ground and thought maybe she needed someone to talk with. Our pastor prayed for her and she did calm down and finally sleep. It was not a good night and one I never care to relive.
