It's Time To Escape The Borg
I truly believe with all of my heart that an agenda that surpresses critical and reasoned thinking is very, very dangerous, and will ultimately lead to much heartache.
The church cannot survive and grow with a borg mentality that devalues individual expression and contribution. It is simply not possible. I categorically reject the notion that we must be in agreement in every application of holiness.
I have been praying that God will remove the scales from the eyes of every person who is currently unable to see that there are some among us that have an agenda that is crushing and cruel. These same people have a desire to build their own kingdom instead of God's.
These are sincere thoughts devoid of any animosity and anger. I am truly, truly concerned.

LOL!!!!
The Borg were villians on Star Trek The Next Generation TV series. They were human beings that had been captured and then "modified" with many mechanical / electronic parts.
Most of the time they were motionless on a mothership all plugged in to create one unified consciousness / mind.
As their physical bodies might be needed for some specific task (like fighting the good guys trying to defeat them) they would unplug from the collective and do whatever they needed to do. However at all times they were still connected to the collective through their mind.
Bottom line is that no individuality or independent thought was allowed. They felt that their existance as a collective was superior to individiual thinking. They were a formidable force that overwhelmed most they came in contact with.
Their determination was revealed in their mantra "Resistance is futile! You will be assimilated!".

I did not know what "Borg" meant either. Thanks.
That kind of mentality is truly, truly frightening. I cannot see any benefit to the cause of Christ with a machine like dependent mentality.
How deperately we need some mavericks lest we be swallowed in our own self delusion of uniformity. Is there not at least one, just one Miciah among us?

Thanks CC1:
The borg operates something like a hive. There are no individuals, only mindless, thoughtless, drones. They only do what they are preprogrammed to do. They are not capable of joy or individual expression. They survive only to do the bidding of the hive's Queen.
This is how I see many Apostolics today.
Incapable of any original thought. Only acting in response to what they are preprogrammed to do. The trouble is some of the things we are programmed to do are downright foolish, bordering on heretical.
God give us some men and women who are Apostolic originals!

2 Thess 2:15
5 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Matthew 15, "Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were at Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?" Then in verse 6 we read, "Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition." Verse 8, "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
