Murphy's Law....
I feel like I've been a victim this weekend.
Friday, Our riding lawnmower died. We're not sure yet if it can be revived-- and will find out this afternoon.
Saturday, I had a van full of teenagers, taking them on visitation to promote Friend Day. As I was making a right turn into someone's driveway, we heard this loud popping sound. I'm not sure exactly what happened, because my mechanic can't get around to checking it for me till later in the week. However, it's next to impossible to turn the steering wheel. My guess is something in the steering column-- or power steering. At any rate, it's temporarily out of commission.
Sunday, we had programmed the air conditioner to come on 30 minutes before we would have gotten home from church. We came in, and the air wasn't on. We checked breakers, etc.... and NOTHING. My dad is coming over later today to check and see if we even have power going to it.
I'm just praying that all these things that have stopped working are just minor things that can be fixed with little money...
It's just been one of those weekends....
This week has to be better.....

Girlfriend, I will be praying for you! I know the feeling. It seems like when it rains, it pours.

Re: Murphy's Law....
Tina!!! I feel for you!!!
I remember, years ago, when my washing machine broke, lawn mower, air conditioning unit, air conditioner in the car and the motor in my husband's truck - all in the same month.
When they fixed the house air conditioner, telling me ahead of time there was no guarantee, and then having fixed it, I burst into tears.
My daughter said, "Why are you crying?"
"Because I can't believe something is fixed!!!!!!"

Praying!!!!!! This too shall pass........

LOL I saw that thread right after I posted this one.
Oh, on the bright side, we planted our garden Thursday, we were blessed with a slow soaking rain all weekend-- which was great for that newly planted garden.
I have 24 cucumber plants, 18 tomato plants, and 12 bell pepper plants. They look great.... and in order to keep them looking great, I'm on a scavenger hunt today trying to find buckets, etc that I can cover all those plants with. They are predicting that we will have a FROST tonight..

Re: Murphy's Law....
God always provides....
I got a phone call today informing me that I have been accepted into a consumer research focus group. The pay for this will be $125.
Lawnmower is fixed, for $40.
Haven't gotten the cost on the other things yet, but I have a feeling the total won't go over that $125.
