My aunt passed...

I am usually on the wrong side of the ocean…this morning I awakened to the news that my mother´s only sister (her baby sister) passed away…I would have loved to have been in the states for mother´s sake and the sake of my sisters.
In 40 plus years on the field there have been numerous deaths in our family…I happened to be in the states when my mother’s mother passed but other than this I have missed all the funerals of aunts and uncles, friends and other kinfolks…
When my father passed several churches helped me come for his funeral or I could not have come.
Really mother passing in Brazil was God´s present to me…as a child of the resurrection she awaits the sounding trumpet to rise up with those she worked so hard to help: the precious Brazilians.
My 2 sisters and uncle will be heading tomorrow or Thursday to Virginia for her funeral. Only my sister, Sherry will be driving so I ask that you all remember them in your prayers.

I talked to my sister Sherry today and she is taking it pretty hard as her husband passed last Oct.

Things like this remind us how short life really is compared to eternity.
