When I met her Diabetes had hit her hard and she had lost her legs....so sad. But she could, at times, still sing like an angel.
The only one that could hold a candle to her, jazzwise, was Mel Torme! Wow!

Wow, what a privilege.
I was so proud of Sarah last night...she was listening to the radio on her CD player (headphones on), and she suddenly said, "Hurry, Mommy, turn the radio to 92.9, there's the BEST song on." So I flipped on the radio in the car, and lo and behold it was Louis Armstrong singing "What A Wonderful World!"
My girl has good taste in music!
(Although Hannah was sitting in the seat next to her sighing and rolling her eyes. LOL!)

Everyone remembers Louis at the end of his life when he was a shell and did more entertaining than music but without a doubt he was one of the most influential musicians in American and popular music history.
