This is so sad. I told someone one time that, when security is "beefed up" in schools and other public places, churches would be next. It wouldn't surprize me if we'll have to pass through metal detectors to enter a place of worship.

Waiting for the Lord is easy... Waiting patiently? Not so much.
They were in the middle of a children's production of "Annie". That struck me as a bit strange for Sunday morning, but I don't know much about the Universal Unitarian church.
Those poor kids are going to be traumatized for a long time. Probably not many will be eager to return to a public stage anytime soon.
Unitarian Churches are pretty much New Age confabs so it doesn't surprise me their idea of a Sunday drama would be Annie.

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
Terrorists are everywhere... and they prey on the vulnerable. Who else would be more vunerable than school children and Christians.
How's that old song go...
This old world's not getting better. Everyday it's getting worse.
So much fighting and confusion, going on down here on earth.
But I don't let it bother me, cause I'm not here to stay.
One of these days you're gonna look for me, and I'll be caught away"
I can't bury my head in the sand, but I am sure looking up, right about now!
I pray God's peace and healing for those people... and for the shooter, salvation.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
