Man proposed to a Woman during our Church Service!
On Sunday nights, we have a smaller crowd, more casual in our approach. We have a short time for people to stand and share what God is doing in their lives. During this testimony time, one of our musicians stood up, grabbed the hand of his girlfriend and proposed to her during this time. Of course she said yes.
Also, I baptized another new convert this morning, brings our total over the last 10 months to 26 baptisms.

26 baptisms in 10 months is great news!
We only have Sunday morning services.
One morning a young minister was on the platform (don't remember just what the occasion was) but he called the keyboard player over to him, got down on his knee, pulled out a ring, and asked her to marry him. She said, "yes" and everyone applauded. We have a pretty casual church. Actually, our pastor has said it is more of a ministry than it is a church.

Re: Man proposed to a Woman during our Church Serv
When you attend a Walk to Emmaus retreat weekend (the Methodist kind), one of the neat things that happens is that on Sunday afternoon, they hand you a packet of letters written to you by your family and friends, telling you that they love you, etc.
On one of the Walks that I worked as a Table Leader on, one of the women at my table was reading thru her letters after they were passed out. She opened a letter from her boyfriend and screamed out of joy! Inside this letter was a diamond engagement ring and the letter was a love letter asking her to marry him!
After they get thru the letters, then we go to the sanctuary where people who have been on the Walk before will meet us for a final worship service of the weekend. As part of this service, they invite the people who've just been thru the walk to get up and tell what the Walk meant to them and what they plan to do about it.
When they got to this point, the girl with the ring was the first one to jump up to the microphone. She stood calmly with incredible reserve and answered the questions about the Walk. Then just when we all thought she was done, she looked up and searched the crowd with her eyes. As soon as she saw her boyfriend, she said, "Oh and Jason - the answer is YES!!"
She absolutely brought the house down with that one Isn't love grand!

Love is something else That was a unique way to propose and accept.
