If a man believes the Gospel of Jesus, that he must be born again of the water and the Spirit. He obeys
Acts 2:38, is baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost.
But then he adds extra-biblical teachings/doctrines to his life like he feels God wants him to grow a beard on the right side of his face yet shaves the left side clean? Will he be saved?
What if he decides that wearing the color green is a sin and never wear's it again in his life, yet has no bible to back it up. Will he be saved?
What if he lets his hair grow just past his collar? Will he be saved?
What if he decides musical instruments are wrong in the church? Will he be saved?
What if he says a woman cutting her hair is not a sin as long as she maintains her femininity? Will he be saved?
What if he feels that his wearing pants is wrong and only wearing a masculine robe is right? Will he be saved?
1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
1Co 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1Co 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
If the foundation is Jesus and yet things are built on it that may or may not be biblical (excluding things that are clearly sin and would violate Jesus' express teaching), does that nullify salvation ?
