Why not blame some of the slow response to the White House?
Quote:
"We cannot let bureaucracy and red tape delay our action while oil hits our wetlands week after week," he said.
Countries Offer Aid
While the governor asks for more supplies, a number of countries said today that the U.S. government and BP had yet to take them up on offers of assistance, including booms and skimmers.
While BP has accepted some supplies, including booms and skimmers from Norway, most other countries said they were waiting for a response from the U.S. government.

Quote:
Jindal is still waiting for the federal government to provide millions of feet in boom and to approve an emergency permit for a state plan to dredge and build new barrier islands to keep the oil from reaching the marshes and wetlands.
Jindal is so desperate for the islands, he's said he'll build them even if it sends him to jail.
"We've been frustrated with the disjointed effort to date that has too often meant too little, too late for the oil hitting our coast," Jindal said.

That's W's fault! Don't blame BHO. He's got a full plate with taking his second vacation since the rig blew up.
Red tape? Well, I doubt BHO has anything to bribe anyone with, so tough luck getting past the endless EPA red tape.
Seriously, I do hope Jindal goes ahead and does what his state needs to do to combat the oil ... even if it means going against the almighty EPA and BHO's admin.

LOL! Yeah, a little late to play the blame game on W. I was reading that blaming Bush is the game plan the Dems will use for the 2010 elections. I don't see how that is going to work for them now, so I was surprised to read it.
From what I am reading and seeing, Gov. Jindal will take care of Louisiana with or without the Federal Government.

That's being done more and more lately ... States have to take care of themselves, because the gov't (regardless of party in WH) really isn't going to help. Arizona is doing this with illegal immigration. Louisiana will have to do so with the oil cleanup.
Ronald Reagan said it best, "In this present crisis, government isn't the solution to our problem; government IS the problem."

Yes, I was just listening to Rick Perry this morning.

Re: Drill Baby Drill but Blame Obama For The Spill
By the way Christopher Dodd (Democrat), who's retiring because he knows he'd lost big time in November if he ran for office again, blamed W for the oil spill!
I'm willing to bet, that when/if BHO runs for re-election in 2012 ... he'll do so by campaigning against W again. I mean, 4 years wouldn't be enough time to right all the wrong done by W - right, so BHO will have to have an anti-W campaign again.

The oil company responsible for the second largest oil spill in human history was presented a bill for clean up costs by the State of Texas back in 1980. The oil company laughed at the State of Texas and never paid a dime.
There are some oil companies that can drill irresponsibly and messily and do so with impunity because their politics matches up with the politics of the Left.
And "right on!" with that Charles Krauthammer post. What are we doing in 5,000 feet of water when we could be safely drilling on land and along the shore? But politicians have forced us to extremes, and when something extreme happens as a result the same politicians whine and demand even larger taxes in response.
