Coffee, Sugar, Gas, Gold & Silver Going Up

On NPR tonight the report that Bernanke's risky $600B infusion of cheap money into the economy so far is having the opposite effect. Commodities have risen in price in the week since the new "stimulus" money came into being. They reported silver has risen $2 an ounce, coffee rose in price by $.50 and sugar, gold and gasoline prices have also risen. It seems investors are less confident in American dollars and more confident that the price of goods is going to rise.

What will it take for our president to ask our federal government and banking system to please stop the bleeding?!? Leave the system alone and the system will correct itself!

I don't eat much sugar and don't drink coffee so I am ok with that.

but, gas going up?
that affects all of us if we drive or or travel by bus, train, or plane and if we buy anything that has to be transported

Jimmy Carter (if he still has that much of his mind to realize what is going on) must feel great realizing that he is no longer considered the worst modern U.S. president

No doubt it does. I am not a Obama supporter meaning I didn't vote for him. I support him as our Prez cause I don't want us to fail as a country. He has made mistakes as well as our previous Prez's have too. It is easy to try and blame one guy for everything. Like people blaming Bush for all the economic issues. It wasn't his, or at least all his, fault.

Inflation will hit us and hurt us. I have confidence in the American people to try to right the ship. I think the recent elections kind of point to it.

Food and energy are not in the consumer price index. So this may not show up in certain news.

Silver has been making a steady increase in price since November of 2003 because of fears that the economy is going to fail for the same reasons that it is still increasing today.

The fears under George Bush were that we continue to spend billions and billions of dollars on multiple wars all over the world.

Now under Obama he is spending untold amounts of money on "stimulus".

The problem that nobody can seem to see is that no matter who gets voted into office the same march step movement toward financial destruction continues.

Under the repubs it's always spent on the military. Under the dems it's always spent domestically but it is always spent.

The thing that amazes me to no end is this. The things that we griped about under Bush but no one could see are now ever so visible because it's happening under Obama.

This isn't new. It's just that "the other team" is ruining us now.

The day you guys open your eyes to the infinite power of partisan politics to blind us in 4 year increments will be the day this country has a chance. Until then...we're sunk due to partisan blindness.
