Is Grace Greater Than Sin?
Is grace greater than our sins?
We know scripture speaks of this very thing.
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: Romans 5:20 KJV
And yet some seem to struggle with sin, not knowing that Grace in abundance is present.

They need to know more fully what has been done and who they are. And they need to dig out unbelief in their heart -- since all sin is connected, at some level, to issues of unbelief.
Sanctification... I don't pretend to full understand, but I fully surrender.

Yes, we believe in God. But some don't believe God. Surrender, trust, what He who cannot lie, tells us. My Grace is sufficient.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV

Yes, Christ Death, Burial, and Resurrection proved victory over sin!! And still some seem to doubt, when we should be rejoicing. That, He who loves us more than Himself, provided that very Grace.
Now then comes Faith, that He provides Grace to us all.

I am completely confident that God's grace is greater than our sin. But OUR grace? Quite often, no. Many times, I've heard someone say to someone hasn't performed so well, "Well obviously, God forgives you", and this is followed by the ,"But" clause that goes into all the reasons why that person is going to be watched closely for a while to make sure they've really learned their lesson.
But God's grace is only tangible through people. If WE don't show grace, the only grace a person can receive is this mystical, theoretical thing that will only benefit the person once they get to the pearly gates. But that's not good enough.
God's grace only works if we are willing to be vessels of grace. Otherwise, it's useless.

I really want to agree... I can think of a few cases where people found Gods grace in spite of human cruelty and even abandonment of Christians.
Also, can you think of some instances where a person has experienced God's grace would need to "be watched"? I think they themselves may request such assistance and oversight.

Re: Is Grace Greater Than Sin?
The answer to the ? is ----yes.
I appreciate my UPC hertiage and all of the great sermons and Bible Studies I've heard. BUT----if there was a top 10 or bottom 10 sermon topic list---grace would make the lower 10 in coverage.
I'm Acts 2:38 all the way but still think Grace rates more PR.
We're afraid of Grace.
