Christians vs Muslims

I was in a discussion with someone recently that made an observation that I think was note worthy.

Christians are fighting amongst themselves while the Muslims are united.

Just think if the Christians could unite in what we do believe in, Jesus Christ, how much stronger of an army we could be.

What are your thoughts?

* I know someone is going to come and say not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. But "I" believe if you believe in Jesus Christ you are not being unequally yoked.

Muslims aren't united. I would love to see Christians be more unified though.

In Iraq, the Sunni Muslim minority which was in control persecuted the Shiite Muslim majority. Now that Saddam is gone and there is a new government I assume the Shiites will use their majority power to wipe out the Assyrian Christians and really persecute the Sunni Muslim minority.

Ditto

Folks have this idea that all muslims are the same. Not true at all. They also have their scisms and divisions, some quite bloody.

People are people. There will always be divisions.

And this is what God also desires. The BIG problem is; All of us,( I include myself) have a tendency to follow what has been pounded into our heads. If we would take the time to look for the person of Jesus in those who confess to believe in Him I think we would be extremely shocked to find there are many. Jesus was rejected by the local established religion and so he turned to the sinners. He didn't participate in their deeds but he surround himself and minister to their needs.Even though they were not all there on the day of Pentecost in the upper room I think they were still mindful of what he did for them and yet believed he was the messiah.

I am seeing this more and more. Perhaps as we get older and more mature we see things a little clearer.

That is what everyone is saying.

But it seems to me they are awfully strong and more united than Christians. Am I wrong on that?

Esther...they are killing each other. How is that united?

Christians hash out doctrinal differences in dialog, not with bombs and guns
