Thoughts?

No, but the Holy Ghost will give you power to over come the sin you were forgiven of.

IF many are living supar,
my guess would be that we are not taking advantage of the riches and weapons of warfare that Christ has provided for us,
along with that, we are not shunning evil, but partaking of it through our everyday conversation and entertainment.

It's not true that there is nothing at all we have to do to be saved.

I point my self righteous finger at the servants, er, I mean, the leaders who have FAILED to teach the people.

Weird, I'm saying this on like 4 threads at once all the sudden:
"Whosoever will may come." Not saying someone might not convince me
otherwise, but my understanding is that salvation comes by grace? In other words, there is nothing at all one could possibly do to get salvation? Now, rewards--a white robe, a crown, a white stone with a Name, um, eating from the tree of life, even (your best argument might be there)--come with good works; and I guess we're essentially discussing "can one lose their salvation" from a different angle, and there is debate there, but I am compelled @ "I advise that you buy from ME gold refined, and salve for your eyes," from God, who also imparts "you are saved by faith, and not works, lest any man should boast."

These sound like two distinctly different operations, buying, and exercising faith; and, while I never had it explained as a Pent, I believe the "salvation v rewards" answers it, and "works won't save you." Thoughts?

"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13).
