Well hellooooo.

I kinda....have my own mind now. If Leviticus contains the scripture about facial hair Pennycostals go by, then the hair should be shaved on the toes and the head by an Assyrian. If piercings are a sin, the original hole never actually heals. A bar through it holding it apart isnt a sin, the act of making the hole is. And My new tattoo....has nothing to do with dead peeps. Halleleuyer...I am free. Oh yeah and the whole trinity vs oneness debate is ridoculous. My solution to it...."I baptize you in the Name of Jesus...The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit" Its called optimization.

I have heard of two UPC churches (one in Ohio and one in Louisiana) who have used the formula, "In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

How well did that go over? I'm not even sure that a lot of Trinitarians would go for that.

My information is second or third hand.

I read somewhere that in a UPC in NE Ohio, in the room where people prepare for baptism there is a sign which instructs the persons being baptized and the persons who will be doing the baptizing to use that specific formula.

The other church that I heard used that formula was on in Shreveport, Louisiana pastored at one time by Bro. Jack Moore.

I heard/read this stuff years ago and can't even remember who the sources were.

We went Celebration Church here in Jacksonville. The pastor is Stovall Weems, told the church he did not want anyone to tell them that their Baptism was not real, so he Baptized in the authority of Jesus Christ in the Name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost. The Church is a non denominational Charismatic church.
