Vampire Christians are folks that live and believe that the blood of Jesus covers everything, and nothing else is needed. In other words, nothing but the blood!

They don't get involved in discipleship, get involved in a local congregation of believers, or doing anything to advance the kingdom of God.

They don't need anyone else...it's just them and Jesus. They can live any way they want, and believe the blood of Christ will cover everything.

I heard this term today at church, and believe I know some vampire Christians! *smile*

Re: Vampire Christianity!

Those that have the blood of Jesus covering them actually want to get involved in discipleship. They want to help the lost find their way to Christ.

Problem I've seen throughout the last 30 years is the 'ministry' in a local congregation who impedes an individual work for Christ.

Why is that?

They don't trust that people can be led of the Spirit...

OR

They're afraid that people WILL be led of the Spirit...
