The Angel Priest

I don't know if anyone has been following this story. It is simple incredible, as well as incredibly documented. My wife first heard about it since she spent several years in MO and has quite a few friends there who sent her the link in local papers. Now it finally hit FOX news.

Missouri authorities plan to file charges in crash where 'angel' priest appeared

Authorities in Missouri say they will file charges in a car crash last weekend that left a 19-year-old woman critically injured, and the world wondering about the identity of the "angel" priest who prayed with her until rescuers could free her from the mangled wreck -- and then disappeared.

Officials are still scratching their heads over the cleric, who appeared out of nowhere. Perhaps more mysteriously, the local fire chief said he does not appear in any of 80 photos from the accident scene.

Re: The Angel Priest

I like the one where there was a crash and an Angel/Prophet of God showed up. He walked over, prophesied that she would be ok, then rifled through her purse for payment.

of course he quickly disappeared too

Re: The Angel Priest

The original stories that appeared in the MO papers were much more detailed than this FOX followup.

I saw this earlier on Foxnews... Brings up the idea that there are "angels among us" ... Incredible that no picture of the priest shows up in any of the documented pictures too!

Re: The Angel Priest

I have been following that story and it is pretty cool. If it was an angel obviously one with a sense of humor sense he dressed up as a Roman Catholic priest!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: The Angel Priest

My first thought upon hearing of this event -

2 Corinthians 11:14
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

What better means might Satan employ in his efforts to persuade someone that the Roman Catholic Church is the One True Church, than to appear to one in such dire circumstances as "an angel of light"?

If there truly was an angel, my guess it wasn't one sent of God!

Naw, we ALL know that a REAL angel would look like a UPC minister.

Ya, someone showing up and suddenly vanishing isn't THAT big of a deal but when there is video tape rolling the whole time and this "person" isn't even on that, then it makes you scratch your head a bit.

I heard about this story, but just a quickly dismissed it. But I never knew that cameras were videoing the scene at the time the mysterious person was said to be there and yet not show up on the video.
