He pastored in the Bronx, New York, from 1978 to 1982 ... then in Queens, New York from 1983 to November 2005.

Call me ignorant, but I never knew that there was such a large Spanish speaking section of the Bronx. I'm gla dyou shared this. You learn something new every day, my mother always says

The Spanish-speaking church my dad pastored, in the Bronx, was started by Rev. Jim Spencer, circa the late 1960's. Then Rev. Steven Barley pastored it until 1974. Rev. John Hopkins manned it from '74 to about 77 .... then Dad did ...
In 1977, there were only 4 North American Spanish speaking churches in the UPCI ... today it's the largest growing segment in the fellowship.
