Kinda Sick...

Okay...I woke up this morning feeling pretty rotten...headache, mainly, tummy ache/upset...no fever, more like cold sweats...so...I've been feeling bad all day...finally had a bowl of cereal around 11:30, and it stayed down, but no interest in any other food at the moment, and pretty much choked that down!

I've been suffering from allergies for the last two weeks or so, and taking Benadryl and Chlor-trimeton on a fairly regular basis...and I'm just wondering...can you get sick or have "withdrawal" when you stop taking antihistamines? Has anyone else ever experienced something like that? Just curious...

Or maybe its just the flu. *shrug* (But...I didn't take any medicine last night or this morning, so that's why I thought that maybe....)

Allergies can give me those symptoms, MissB...........and sinus drainage can make me very nauseated. Maybe you're not ready to stop taking the meds.

Hope you get to feeling better!

I know in this area there has been a nasty bug going around that starts with headache/upset stomach/symptoms like a cold/flu. Many have gone for the sinus cocktail shot and a round of antibiotics only for it to have zero effect and go for a second round of a stronger antibiotic.

My son even ended up (after the two rounds of antibiotics) having a migraine for days, which he has NEVER had before. He took two different mirgraine meds before knocking it.

Many others had these same symptoms.

We had several people out of church this weekend with the same symptoms...I don't think it's the allergy meds...it would appear there is a stomach thing with headache going around tulsa right now...BTW, most of the reports I got it lasted less than 24 hours...mostly about 12....

Hope you're feeling better!

Same here about 24 hrs. My kids both went to school today feeling a lot better, my daughter totally lost her voice from it but I could at times count that as a blessing too LOL

I'm not feeling so great either. Sore throat -- my voice is all raspy -- got some sniffles -- and I feel wiped! Went to bed at 9:30 last nite.

Whatever it is I've got or getting I want to shake it before we leave next Mon.

Well...maybe you guys are right...I think this is a bit too much to be just from antihistamines (or the lack thereof).
