Re: How easy is it to Lose Salvation?
Luke's theology perfectly represents what I have been force-fed all of my life.
This idea that God is constantly looking for a reason to throw us into Hell is a huge part of the UC culture of fear.
Jesus is the Good Shepherd who gives His life for the sheep. He stands in the gap to protect us.
A shepherd is a gatherer. He's always looking for those who've strayed, and has, in fact, come to seek and save that which is lost. No shepherd worth his salt wants to destroy a sheep.
If you, being the sheep of His pasture, are lost, it's because you absolutely choose to be, and not because He drives you away.
