In reading back over this thread, I realized I didn't address this post.

What in my post has anything to do with tradition? I asked what doctrine the man was preaching, and you make a post insinuating that I am holding to tradition. Read these verses please, and tell me what got the people astonished, the miracles, or the doctrine?

Mat 7:28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

Mat 22:33 And when the multitude heard [this], they were astonished at his doctrine.

Mar 1:22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
