Pouring concrete today
No, not me...ha...our brothers are pouring concrete today on our second floor for our dorms...pray for their safety.

Sis. they have been pouring concrete for our new facility for the last two days as well!! I don't know what the weather is like there, but here it is freezing, and they poured it all at once, so those poor guys had to work all through the night on it because of the weather!
Btw, I hope to get those card games out to you this evening!

OH my bless their hearts they will surely be rewarded. Everyday has been so hot but today is cool and misty...nice for concrete work.
thanks for the games I am sure we will get them with no problem. God is good and his people are wonderful!

The Work of Nehemiah continues....
I was just looking through all the threads that are goping on today and then I saw this one. And I thougt of Nehemiah. In the midst of chaos and confusion, he got the job done.
He was threatened, they tried to bribe him... yet he kept on working.
He was scorned and conspired against... but his hands stayed busy.
Right in the middle of opposition... he kept his hand to the task until the job was done.
And here, we have the same thing. Right in the middle of all the doctrinal discussions and all the talk about issues... here is one pouring concrete.
Neh 4:6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
Our prayers are with you, Sis. Alvear. We pray for the safety of the workers, and we pray for you and your family as you stand in the breeches to fulfill the work God has called you to do. And, thank you for the lesson I have learned here today.
