The one thing she lied about
Did you guys see recently where in a game show contestants are asked personal questions while they are monitored by a lie detector? She is asked about if her old boyfriend wanted her back would she leave her husband. She was asked if she thought her ex was the one she should have been married too (she answered yes, the other one she did not have to answer). Then she was asked if she had cheated on her husband and she answered yes,
For all the marbles then she was finally asked if she thought she was a good person and she said yes.....and the lie detector said that was a lie.
And this all happened in front of her husband and other family members

What's a gameshow in our country is considered torture in others!

Haven't you heard of what they do to people on some of those Japanese shows? And the Brits and Swedes invented most of the gross out games that require contestants to eat hands full of earthworms and such. We're actually behind the trend.
This one features such events as "Bad Smell Air" and "Hitted Hip." I can't figure out how the "Outwitted" event came to be translated as such. It definitely was not the man's wits that were taken out. The setting is a library which explains the muted responses from the fellow contestants; or least their attempts to mute their responses.

I did see that. It was the Prime Time equivalent of the "Jerry Springer Show".
She said she wasn't interested in the money, she just needed to get some things out on the table.........but, the money would have been a nice divorce settlement!

Not interested in the money ? hmmmppfffff!MY foot!
Yeah right! I hate when people say that, like anyone will believe it!
That is the only reason that I can see that anyone would put themselves out for the world to judge, like that, those shows can be BRUTAL! Even DrPhil who is supposed to be about helping people-I see as sometimes bordering on cruelty, leaning more towards "sensationalism"., ala Jerry Springer. That 'polygraph' one I have not seen yet., sounds just awful.
I have to wonder how much of these type shows are orchestrated, how much is REAL., and I don't waste much time any of them.

Re: The one thing she lied about
What kind of idiot would GO on a gameshow like that unless she wanted her husband to know all those "secrets?"
Pretty passive aggressive way of spilling your guts, if you ask me. ...like all those other shows where they tell their spouses all their dirty laundry on national television. Why would someone want to humiliate their husband, wife or family like that? Now that I think about it--I don't think its "passive" at all.

while part of me does not believe that it is completely legit....I did see one episode that was just the opposite in that a true family man was put to similar tests with his wife, mom and 2 girls sitting there and everything came out just peachy. I even had a tear in my eye.

That's all fine and good, but if you know you have something terrible to say, why do it on national television? I just don't get it.

I totally agree....I'm just saying that the shows that get press are the one that are "Jerry Springer" I've seen one that actually turned out very good. But I haven't watched it since. And that night I was on the treadmill with no remote.
