Inspired by MP's post in another thread - I thought why not!
Tell how great your pastor is!

I'd love for someone to start a thread about an honest pastor. But, unfortunately, you don't turn on the evening news and hear that "Thousands of planes took off and landed safely today", you only hear about the one that crashed.
And even more unfortunately, many people will say "Air travel is SO dangerous, I'm NEVER flying".
And, unfortunately, when people read these kinds of threads, many of them will say, "I'm NEVER paying my tithes now, because ALL preachers are dishonest crooks with huge homes".
Sorry, but I HATE the broad brush, folks.

I've known my pastor for over 30 years. He's been a friend, married my best friend from JCM and for the past six months he's been my pastor.
I have to say Pastor Eddie is a great pastor. His strengths are vision, growing churches, teaching and being honest. He is soooo honest that you feel like you know his heart!
I knew him all this time and had never had the privilege of hearing him speak. He's very well read and it shows in his teaching. He speaks deep, but makes it so easy to understand. He stretches you to think.............I like that!
He is a giver too. He is setting an example how that you can't ever out give God. I have been so blessed to hear the ways that him and Sherri have blessed others only to have that blessing return to them increased.
What impresses me too about Pastor Eddie is that the areas that he feels he's not strong in he picks others to surround him that are strong.....he does not try to be all things to all people and that makes him so real!
I thank the Lord that I have been blessed to have Pastor Eddie and Sherri in my life! I actually have tears in my eyes right now just thinking how God directs our paths!

He is a great man and comes from the best of families...
I pray for his ministry in daily prayer.
My Pastor Jeff Butler comes from the same group of JCM friends.

This is something I admire a lot in my pastor too.. He isn't afraid to put people into positions and delegate things to those who are stronger in those areas than he is.
He is a praying man who encourages a prayer life in others... he leads by example.

What can I say about my pastor????? I have to say that most of all, I have utmost respect for him as a man of God. He prays more than any person I know. He's at the church every day (7 days a week) early in the morning, seeking God for wisdom and favor for hours. That has been the secret to the success of this church plant.
Other than that, he's a lot of fun and my very best friend and I love him more now than I did 30 years ago.
