NEW HAVEN, Connecticut - Paul Newman, the Academy-Award winning superstar who personified cool as an activist, race car driver, popcorn impresario and the anti-hero of such films as "Hud," "Cool Hand Luke" and "The Color of Money," has died, a spokeswoman said Saturday. He was 83.
Newman died Friday after a long battle with cancer at his farmhouse near Westport, publicist Jeff Sanderson said. He was surrounded by his family and close friends.
His food line profits went to help feed the hungry around the world if I remember right. His is one food line I actually do not mind paying the money for because of how the profits were used. I hope they continue it now that he is out of the picture.

This is too strange, my husband was watching one of his old movies yesterday. I was wondering if he was still alive. We talked a little bit about him racing and food line. Then this morning when I logged online there was the headline that he had died yesterday. I really enjoyed his acting.
