Will you give up red meat?
If a pastor/church leader asks all his constituents to give up red meat because he is convinced it's unhealthy what would you do?

I wouldn't run around on every forum & internet board denouncing that teaching (not saying you are, but a large percentage of people do) & a lot of the more controversial stuff, not cutting hair, makeup, & wearing dresses have some justification in scripture.

Seriously? So it's unacceptable to hold views to the contrary? One should simply clone the beliefs of the church's highest leader?

Do you speak in God's stead?
Are you a Pastor of Pastors?
If what one teaches is not Biblical-leave.
If you are holding beliefs contrary to the leader, you should leave if it bothers you.
If you try to usurp his authority you are gonna get on God's bad side.
Remember Uzza & the Ark?
The priests were mishandling the ark and it stumbled?
God smote Uzzah when he attempted to cross into territory that he wasn't supposed to.
Better to have let God deal with the situation.

I did it for one year when I lost a bunch of weight.
I ate chicken, tuna and a bunch of Salmon.
I started to crave peanut butter.
That was for the protein loss from what someone told me...
I may start doing it again...

Not give up, but maybe eat less; at least strive for lean cuts.
I certainly agree that we should eat chicken and more fish....but no red meat?
I put this in the catagory....everything in moderation!

Re: Will you give up red meat?
Reminds of a line from My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
The aunt is meeting the groom to be and invites her niece and fiance over for a meal but is told he doesn't eat meat.. She's horrified................ and then says, oh, that's ok, I'll fix lamb. lol
