I was so blessed tonight
We are in south Brazil and tonight I was announced to speak at our son's church. My husband went with another group to visit one of our other churches in this area.
Long ago...maybe 25 years ago...a very young boy starting coming to a little work I took care of...my was he ever a headache...lol...but he was a good drum player...the last time I saw him was maybe 15 years ago and he was at a church but was drunk...
Low and behold someone told him I was speaking here tonight and he walked in and now is a pastor of an Apostolic church! He just hugged and hugged me and cried...
I was so blessed to see what God did in his life. We just never know what children will turn out to be. I am so proud of him.

Re: I was so blessed tonight
At the L&T kidz camp, my granddaughter brought her friend who is from another denomination - She had attended services with us and witnessed the Holy Ghost move in our communion service. She was overwhelmed by the move of God on all the children and became very withdrawn by Friday night - she wanted to pray for others but she didn't want anybody to lay hands on her or pray for her. I took her outside and we talked a long time. I've told you all this because of your post concerning the young man. My prayer is for this child to soak in all she experienced these past few days and allow God to speak to her heart. She was concerned that "my church doesn't worship like this" and she just couldn't move past it. I comforted her and her heart is at ease. She's expressed interest in coming to camp next year. i'm anxious to see what God is going to do in her life as a result of this past week! Please pray for her, just once will do because I know you have such a busy work. I want to see her filled with the HG just like so many others were!! Thank you.

Sis. Alvear,
God's Word is true! 1 Cor.15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Hugs,

Re: I was so blessed tonight
Sister A
One plants, one waters, but it is God who gives the increase.
We can only plant the seed as you did so many years ago in that young mans life. If they do not stick around for us to water it or if God moves you to another location never fear, God will send someone to water that seed. No matter who does what it is all for the glory and kingdom of God.
I have prayed for years about a vision God gave me of my sons. I had promised God I would do my best to teach them and raise them up so that they could be sensitive to His Spirit and willing to follow his leading. There have been many times I have worried about how well I was doing my job. I have always told them that I know God has a plan for their lives. I have tried to instill in them a desire to do a work for God, no matter what it is. This past week at youth camp it seems a couple of different ministers spoke a word from God into them (our oldest two). They have come home so rampted up and ready to go. They asked my oldest one to say something to the young people the last night of camp and he told them that it was all well and good for them to come to camp in a 'spiritual' environment and get great teaching and preaching. It was all good for them to hear a word from God to themselves personally but what good did it do them if they did not take it back to their home churches and if they did not live what they were taught and believed on a daily basis. This from the young man who likes to be the center of attention but gets embarassed and tongue tied if he is asked to speak in front of the young people in his own group. He did not even have 3 minutes to prepare. One of the ministers called him over after service and told him that he was pleased to see him let God use him to speak because that was exactly what they had needed to hear. He also told him that it confirmed for him the things that God had showen them about Nik during camp.
Of course I had to be the damper and tell him that all the words from God are good and great but they all hinge on HIS willingness to follow after God and do what God wants from him to do. God is not going to make him do anything but will use him mightly if he allows God to.
Just keep planting those seeds sister and water the ones you're given the opportunity to water. GOD will keep giving the increase.

Re: I was so blessed tonight
He is not really a part of our work now but another Jesus name work...however he is a part of the Kingdom and that is what is so important. In fact his pastor is now probably 75 years old and was a person that helped me so much when I was single...so his pastor is a friend of ours and now he is pastoring a little group and we are so proud of him.
I see the work of God as a big family...sometimes we may be UPC, ALJC, WPF or whatever...names and cards have never mattered to me...it is the life we live that really tells the story not the card we carry...
