Patience
Can we all just take a vow to try not to be the first to report bad news ? Im speaking of the reports of Bro Manguns death, i think as early as Tuesday? which were totally off by days ,if it aint on the church website or hasnt come from headquarters it probably didnt happen! This has got to be distressing to the family. Come on folks!

Come on Oletime. Give me a break! I jumped the gun. (But, I did hear it from an official UPC function.) Got worried about it when I didn't see any other posts. I apologized profusely and then asked for someone to delete the thread. (And thank God someone did!) And then I apologized again.
I promise I won't report any more passings unless it's mine. lol .... I guess I'll know better than anyone else when I pass. And according to the angels in left field thread, if I don't report it maybe the angels will!
I'm sorry again.... and I won't do it again! I promise!

Don't worry about it to much. People are just distraught when loved ones die and it's to be expected. No real harm, no real foul.

I'm sure people weren't trying to be evil.
They knew he was dying, and were eager to send their regards. Let's not be ugly about this.

Re: Patience
There were numerous posts on FB from reliable people that had it incorrect too. Then many correcting on FB.
I received a text around 1:00 a.m. making me aware that we needed to delete the thread. I took care of it and the apology thread.
Things happen.

Yeah things do happen, but these rumors seem to happen very often...
In my opinion it's not wise to be the first to report serious events like deaths unless you have firsthand information from a family member.
