Doomed America & Cursed Canada! Really?

We have a large gay population in Vancouver (we are known as San Fransisco North) & there was a play put on by gays called "The Laramie Project" about Mathew Shepherds death.
The play was in a theater about 12 blocks from where I live in East Van & on Friday night there was word that Rev Phelps & his people from Westboro Baptist Church would be there protesting this play.

There was police present & about 75 gay protesters singing "I shall not be moved" (Go Figure) but the Rev Phelps didn't show up.

When inquired about why they didn't show, Margie Phelps (Rev Phelps daughter) said that the Canadian Government refused them entry.
Not a good move.

When asked why they are interested in Canada, she said "we are living in doomed America right below Cursed Canada!"

While this view is extreme, notice how mainstream Christianity has gone silent on this issue?

I believe Rev Phelps "and his people" are cursed themselves. He is one of those I do not want to be seen "agreeing" on anything with.

I actually AGREE with his stand, yet he shows no love, compassion, or Christian *anything* to those caught in its grip.

As a right-wing conservative there are probably one or two point I agree with Hitler on, yet I in NO WAY associate myself with him.

Most Christians realize that in order for the Bible to be true, the whole earth will be baptized by fire. I believe that to be a literal fire baptism.

I believe for this entire world to be doomed and cursed, not just North America.

Why wasn't it a good move for Canada to deny those idiots entry? It was a brilliant move.

Give them an inch and they will take 10 miles. Those folks do more harm to the Body of Christ than good.

The Canadian Govt did not take any of his rights away from him. He's not even a Canadian so the Canadian Govt can't take away his rights.

They did stop him from practicing his rights on their soil. Your Govt's action towards him and his idiots do not affect your rights to go to Vancouver and protest and say the exact same stuff he would say if he was a Canadian citizen.

Last I checked, your Constitution had very few rights specific to American citizens such as vote & hold o0ffice, otherwise free speech in your constitution covers "Mois!"

So does your Constitution cover Americans?

Are you saying that Phelps can now get rich on the Canadian Govt's dime because of a blatant civil rights violation? Yeah right!!!

His rights weren't violated and yours were not threatened by the Canadian Govt denying entry to a bunch whackos disguised as Christians.

Feel free to go in his stead and protest away, lawfully, as a Christian Canadian citizen.
