Info on the Tulsa Trip....and What makes these Guy's Tick...

Folks..
I have seen a lot of bandied about here about what we think may or may not happen...who did or didn't say what...or just our run of the mill everyday opinions... and the little bit of gossip that we call "News"...

and AFF seems to be somewhat a "guilty pleasure" in our lives at times..

but truly...what is said here about those leaving...or staying will never really matter to those who it is being said of....

They have their churches....they have their own camps....their own meetings....their own conferences....

Once the scale of a Large church is tipped with many folks attending many times association with a Organization is and afterthought and not as important as it seems in smaller churches..

Organizational Position becomes non-important... because their time is consumed with the church...I sat at a luncheon with one well esteemed Man who is one of those who have put the "Tulsa" meeting together and he told me point blank that he has few friends because the majority of his time is spent with his church...and it demands so much from him...

and this not something that he wouldn't mind me sharing but it's a fact...

Churches when they reach a certain size really have their own thing going on... and true in larger churches much of what goes on in the District (especially the WD) has no bearing or much importance in what the Mega Church does in it's routine... sure there are UPC offerings like Sheaves for Christ...and so on...but most of what I have seen the monies have stayed in the local church and is used to support their own missions projects and so on... *nothing wrong with that*...

So the surmising...talking....consoling...teasing...baiti ng....biting...stinging...and whippersnapping that we do will really take none effect on what is going there and what they are doing and they could probably care less of what we may think or say...

Why? you may say....

They just don't care and why should they???...Their work has been tried and proven...and they are successful in what they have done for the Lord....

Our opinions certainly don't or hasn't effected what they are doing for God...whether in the UPC or out...

So.... What makes them tick? Their own calling from God... whether you agree with it or not... just as our own calling makes us tick... whether they agree with it or not...

Let's let folks go who want to go...and stay who want to stay... and get on with God wants us all to do...

Win the Lost... not count the cost...
