What exactly does "Friends Notification" requests do?

Am I supposed to invite everyone to be my Friend?

AN how does the "Thanks"/"Thanked" thing work?

I had you on my buddy list...but I didn't really see any benefit in its uses, so never used it.

I like this much better, as it IS a mini MySpace. I think there are some that would feel more comfortable and safe with using it here as opposed to an actual MySpace where ANYBODY can be your 'friend'. And they are usually someone you definitely DO NOT want being your friend!
