I can't help it, anything to do with India being blessed and acknowledged causes my heart to rejoice and my love for that country to grow deeper.
Slumdog Millionaire won big, of course its a movie and a Hollywood production but it was filmed in Mumbai, India using stars from India. The movie story line is built around issues of extreme poverty and religious tension that are very real issue in that part of the world. It highlighted the human spirit and how everyone loves a great story of hope and love.

maybe slumdog is a good movie. Certainly I am glad it beat Milk.
but I dont care. the motion picture business has turned me off with their (im)moralizing.

I may watch Slumdog someday, but overall the PC snobbery of an event like the Oscars leaves me wanting less, not more, Hollywood.

Hey look, I like a good movie as much as the next guy. I watch a little TV from time to time. sometimes I even turn off Foodnetwork or the History Channel and actually watch something on regular television. But I don't care what these people do in their real lives. In fact I really wish they didn't have real lives at all. We should lock them all up in jail cells and only let them out to ACT.
