Temptation in Garden about Procreation?

Someone posted this elsewhere and I have never heard this before. Anyone care to comment?

"I thought that the temptation in Eden was all about procreating and that's how Able was from Adam and Cain was from the serpent ("beasts of the field" which the concordance also calls mankind who existed prior to Adam and Eve).. It makes sense when Seth was born as the replacement for Able after Cain slew Able."

You must have had your head in the sand when the good doctor Vaughn was here a year or so ago. Serpent-Seed doctrine.

LOL! I didn't pay attention to the conversation. So, it's a Brahmanite issue? Isn't that what Vaughn was about other than - the other stuff? LOL!

Mizpeh,
The person is saying -

Quote:
"I am not a racist as your link implies. Referring to someone who searches for the truth to be racist is like the Global Warming nuts doing the same thing to anyone who wants more info before accepting the basic truth. My journey has been a long hard road... and I never accept anything from another human at face value until I do my best to find the facts... And they have never been found in a place where tithing keeps the doors open and the clergy in a Mercedes. ((No offense meant, just the way things work in my line of reasoning.))

Just because there were people (beasts of the field according to the concordance referred to the other people of all racesl) alive prior to Adam and eve does not make them any less of redeemed people. For through one man all transgressions entered the world and through one Man all transgressions are redeemed. Right?

The concordance and the scripoture seem to cover all bases and make due for science's lapse in reasoning and their undiscovered mysteries. It does not degrade any portion of mankind, nor does it point fingers... That was done through the nutjobs who have nothing better to do than hate others.

Now look.. we are hijacking kevin's nice post! Sorry Kevin."
I think I'm in over my head. I don't have time to get too deep into this. LOL! I didn't mean to offend him by posting the links you gave.

Re: Temptation in Garden about Procreation?

The belief that Cain and Abel were twins (yet from two different fathers) was propagated by William Branham and those who follow his messge. Bro, Branham taught that Cain was the "product" of an adulterous union between the serpent and Eve (the serpent being a two legged, upright being) Cain, a child of the serpent seed, was cursed as was all of his decsendents. According to Bro. Branhams teaching, anyone born of the serpents seed can never be truly saved.

Of course there are problems with this teaching. First of all, the "unrighteous or Serpents seed" would have died out during the Flood of Noahs day. There would be no "serpents seed" today, if, in fact, it were true that there ever was a "serpents seed". And, then.... theres the little matter of John 3:16 that says "WHOSOEVER believeth". This opens the door for any one of Adams race to be born again.

I use to preach a "Serpent Seed" message though it was not like what Bro. Branham taught. I taught that the Serpents Seed was when the serpent took God's Word to Adam, perverted it, and sowed false teaching into Adams heart. Serpents Seed is the perversion of God's Word from truth to error.

Scripture thoroughly debunks this doctrine:

Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

What reference is he referring to with this comment?

Re: Temptation in Garden about Procreation?

Thank OA and Bratti. I'll have to get back with you later. I'm in the middle of cooking Spaghetti and Chicken soup so I don't have to cook every night this week. LOL!

Anyway, this wasn't even the subject. We were talking politics on Facebook and someone commented that they hoped we were mighty in 2010. The Lord brought the scripture to me, "Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it."

I mentioned that we needed to make sure that we were leaning on God's direction in the political scheme of things.

So, this guy came out of left field and I was not prepared. Now he is pressing me and I haven't studied this subject to any extent at all. LOL!

Bratti, I didn't see him leave any information as to what he was referring to. I'll have to go back later and check that. I wasn't even talking to him in the first place. Mizpeh gave me the two links and I gave them to him as a point of reference and then the conversation took off. LOL!
