What do you think about this prayer?

The reason I post this is to ask if you think that public displays of affection to God like this does more to help or hurt us Christians as a whole? What are your feelings about this type of video? This lady begans to speak in tongues and falls out in the spirit at a secular graduation. Sorry if this was posted before I am just getting back to posting after a LONG vacation, a vacation by choice. Hopefully this is not seen as offensive to anyone I jsut want this to be a good discussion on public displays of affection to Christ.

I guess so. If they are not spirit filled or knowledgable I am sure they thought she had passed out or something more serious. I am not sure if an ambulence actually came or if she came back to reality and went on to get the diploma.

So many thoughts, I believe I could fill up several pages on my own!! Good heavens!! But the highlight, for me, was two-part....1) When she said, "Forgive us for worshipping the intellectual mind" and the academic dude on her lift looks up and he's like, "What did she just say?" 2) She collapses and the intellectual dude steps over her, says into the mic, "Someone get an ambulance and let's start", and the music fires up like she's not even there!! AMAZING!!!!

Final thought....for now....I think this may be one of the reasons prayer has been eliminated at most public education graduations! Can't say I blame them!

I'm not sure what "feewings" are, but yes, I'm aware of the legal reasonings, thank you, and was attempting to point out the absurdity of such antics.

This looks frighteningly similar to a girl that prayed at the Brownsville revival.

What do you mean it looks frighteningly similar? I know what the Brownsville revival is but not sure I know about the girl that prayed at the revival that you are talking about? Forgive me, but would you fill me in?

Re: What do you think about this prayer?

I think this was totally out of place for the venue she was in. Obviously it wasn't a church setting, but a secular one. She should have done something that was acceptable to those in charge. I firmly believe in respecting the house you are ministering in, even if it's just a prayer at graduation.
