Great Start to 2011!

We baptized nine new people this morning! One man was covered nearly from head to toe with tattoos, and he is forty and had not ever been to church in the past 39 years! He just started about a month ago. He was so excited when he got baptized!! Another little girl who got baptized is about 8-9, and her mom is dying with cancer. Then two new couples and three teenage boys! It was an exciting morning!

In 2010, we baptized 132 people. We're hoping for 200 or more this year!

Great report Sherri. I hope sometime this spring to work out my travels through Jackson where I can get a tour of the new church from you or Eddie.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Please do! We even have two king sized guestrooms, now that the kids are moved out, so you could spend the night if you want. It'd be fun!

If it is better I could plan for April. I have a customer kind of all by themselves out in Hall, TN and I can probably work my travels to see them around stopping in JAx.
