Revival!
Our church is in Revival this weekend with Brother Daniel Ballinger. I feel God doing something tremendous in our church. Brother Ballinger told me last night about many extended revivals that he and other powerful evangelists have been preaching. Johnny King's church has been in revival for 10 MONTHS with Brother Cody Marks! Churches are beginning to fast and pray and reach a new level of consecration. It takes real committment to have revival. I am praying that this would not just be a revival meeting, but that it would be a revival that would completely revolutionize our church. Anyone else know of these kinds of revivals taking place in the U.S. right now?

Re: Revival!
Please define revival a bit more in the context you are using it. Many nights of church services... New conversions, folks recommitting etc.?

Revival is kind of like love and hate hard to explain but you know it when it gets there.

Re: Revival!
I agree Bro Epley - but I also know it can be, and is, used in several different ways.
Kclee asked a question about other US churches being in revival. I think I go to a church that is in "revival" atleast in one definition of the word. New conversions, baptisms, Holy Spirit's presence... All on a regular basis.
However, we are not in a special series of meetings.
Hope that clarifies what I was asking.

Re: Revival!
I know you didn't ask me Hoovie, but I'm reading the thread so
this is what I think revival is:
When a Church repents and prays till all hindrances are removed so that they become a conduit for the Holy Ghost to work in the lives of men and women which results in others being converted and healed.

Right. And in that sense it can occur without large numbers, special meetings, special speakers or even church buildings being present.

Re: Revival!
Revival means to be revived, which is what the church needs not sinners

Re: Revival!
"Revival" to me is a dirty word. It reeks of long end endless church services, all the while being more and more tired for work in the morning, with nothing left to look forward too but "church", long endless church, that night, and night after night. Purgatory, thy name is "church".

Re: Revival!
Our church just started "revival". Not extra services, but a renewed vision and focus for reaching the lost.
