Publicly Asking for Your Forgiveness

If any man thinks he is without sin, without error, and never makes a mistake... then that man is an absolute fool. Pride and vanity will blind a man in his steps, and open him to tripping and falling.

Additionally, a man can stand for Truth, love God, and take a firm stand without showing disrespect to those that disagree and even possibly lash out at him. There is never, ever, a time that anyone wins any argument, much less gains influence with their testimony for Christ by belittling others, or making assertions of someone else's character, intelligence, or especially their walk with God.

Lastly, a man must realize to say he is wrong for how he presents his argument, and wrong for showing disrespect doesn't mean he's wrong for what he believes or stands for... even if he is possibly rediculed for it. That's hard to understand sometimes... that I don't have to holler and scream to prove I'm right. Frankly, doesn't matter who agrees or doesn't, as long as my conscience is clean before the Lord.

So, after being reminded of this in prayer today, and realizing that I've done damage to my testimony in this forum, I publicly apologize for any and all times I've lost my temper, been demeaning, lacked showing of respect every child of God is due, and dismissed others for not seeing it as I see it. The worst thing anyone could ever do is so neglect their witness, that those around them would know they are a minister, but have no confidence in their life or even their prayers... and I know I have done that kind of damage to my testimony in this forum.

I've asked the Lord to forgive me, and I ask this forum to also forgive me. Yes, I'm a serious guy... and always will be. Just how God built this man...but God isn't honored in rudeness or disrespect of any sort, and for that I am ashamed and publicly apologize.

I hope for anyone in this forum that has no confidence in me, or that has been offended by my conduct, that over time I might be able to gain your trust and confidence... or at the very least your respect... and I realize those are things one must earn.

Thanks for reading... and if I can ever be of any service to anyone here, I would count it an honor to be called upon. I love to pray, and I love to love on people... believe it or not. We don't have to agree about every little thing to agree, that there is a lost and dying world that needs us loving and rescuing them... instead of knit picking at one another. I apologize that the enemy has been able to misdirect my focus so easily, and allowed me to do such damage to my testimony.

In His Service...
Brother Robbins

Re: Publicly Asking for Your Forgiveness

I don't think you have personally offended me, still if you ask forgiveness, we must forgive. I think a lot of us forget if we offend one little one in the Kingdom, we have offended Jesus Christ.

I don't remember anything you wrote, but your post above warms my heart.

why do extremists always apologize? have any of your views moderated? have you chosen to respect liberal views? more hot air. liberals always display a christ like attitude, not extremists.

I would forgive you except I can't because there is nothing that I need to forgive you for. You've never offended me.... Maybe I've disagreed with you from time to time but was never even remotely offended in the process.

Brother or Sister, no, my views haven't changed, but Christ does expect my dialogue regarding them to honor Him, and in that I've fallen gravely short. My apology is for any time that I have been disrespectful in my dialogue with others.

I do respect the viewpoint of those that I disagree with, but have done a horrible job of showing that. Of course, respecting and honoring someone else's viewpoint doesn't mean we have to agree... as I'm sure you know... and I'll always believe what I believe... but I don't have to be a jerk or be rash to see things differently than others within this forum.

God Bless you at any rate brother/sister.

Are you kidding me? Liberals always display a Christ like attitude?
