Jesus had humanity
Another thread saw Esaias make this point after a brother questioned if it was oneness to believe Jesu had to be GUIDED by DEITY.

I think this is an area oneness needs to be clarified in.
What is often missed and misunderstood is that there was a humanity to Jesus that included more than his body. He had a human soul or mind. That mind had to LEARN to rely on the Spirit just like we do. Everything about His humanity is identical to ours, but for the fact he was born sinless. He operated in the Spirit precisely the way in which we should. In fact, I can think of few other reasons he lived 30 years before ministering than to show us humanity has to learn to walk after God.
He had to pray. Deity doesn't have to pray! But His humanity did!
He had to deny his flesh from yielding to temptations, because we read he was actually tempted in all points as we are (!), but he never gave in one time.
We constantly read about a distinction between His humanity and deity when He indicated it wasn't him doing the work, but the Father IN HIM. And He could do nothing except the FATHER in Him did it through Him. As a man HE LIVED by the Father as we are supposed to live by Him.
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
John 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. How do we LIVE BY JESUS? We rely on His guidance and must be sensitive to hear Him lead us and obey when we recognize it. That's how Jesus lived of the Father. He said the same way He lived of the Father is how we must live of Him.
So many oneness people see the dity of Jesus, but they overshadow his humanity and don't realize it was like ours, with a need to learn and mature and follow direction.
WHen he was a baby he could not speak! Whatever they used for diapers had to be changed. He was not pretending when he said, "goo goo and gaga"
We even read HE LEARNED OBEDIENCE. How can deity LEARN? It can't. But humanity can and Jesus had humanity and did LEARN.
He BECAME perfect. You can only BECOME perfect if you are imperfect in a sense.
Hebrews 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; He was not the author of salvation until he was perfected through suffering and learned obedience by that suffering.
Folks, he had HUMANITY like we do! Not just deity!
