One of my coworkers - who admittedly is younger, though still in his 20's - was surprised when I told him Biden wasn't the president elect yet. I had to explain to him the Electoral College. So glad that "public education" is a thing.

The United States’ population doesn’t understand economics, the laws of their state, or their government. They don’t realize what they pay in taxes, on any level. For the most part they never do their own taxes but have someone else do them for them. We are serfs, we believe what we are told by the town crier. We obey the Sheriff of Nottingham without question. December 4th and 10 days later means absolutely nothing to the huddled masses.
