United We Stand

The book "United We Stand" is a history of some of the various Oneness Pentecostal organizations and of the merger between the PCI (Pentecostal Church Inc) and the PAJC (Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ) which happened in 1945 to form the UPC. The authors of this book are Charles E. Clanton and Arthur L. Clanton. The copyright date is 1970. The book is available online at
http://www.upcpusan.org/pdrl/data/vol2/Untd_Std.pdf

I just thought I would pass this on as a matter of interest in case anyone would be interested in reading the book.

There has been some question on forums as to the size of the two organizations before the merger. On page 98, the number of ministers in the PAJC in 1945 is stated to be 1028. On page 121 the number of ministers in the PCI in 1945 is stated to be 810. Also in the book (I didn't note the page) it states that the ALJC did not have a headquarters building but the PCI did so that became the first UPC headquarters building.

Be careful with that link- they've got 4 CD's of the "Pentecostal Library" online including the complete works of David Bernard. It's a great resource (despite the fact that the rest of the site is in Korean- but I imagine that makes it a great Korean resource).

If we all jump on there and download all 4 CD's at once, we'll crash the site and lose the resource. Be judicious about downloading. This site exists to benefit Apostolics in Korea. We Anglophiles are leechers. But I for one am happy to be so.

You know what is funny? Other than the characters (fonts, Korean)...that site just looks Soooooo Korean or Japanese or something. The cartoon, the icons, everything lol. Looks like some of the candy wrappers I see in the Asian food section at the markeet. Cute
