you know, I have never witnessed something like this before-- it's like some one trying to change the fact right before my very eyes. I am not sure what bothers me more, the fact that he indeed was pictured with an ear ring because he was really wearing one, or the fact that the pictures were altered so that people can't tell that he was really wearing one.

But, I have worse issues than this so it is best for me to trust in the grace of God and pray for the Bishop. This is really a bummer to witness.

It is weird! Because it all happened today, within hours of posting the thread. Now you see them, now you don't.

Hasnt really made me change the way I feel about him, I still think he is a great preacher.

I just got off the phone with a member from the Potters House who specifically told me and I quote "who cares...he does not were it in the pulpit and don't discuss this with me...he then said don't come at me with that women gossip again"

Well, I guess that's how you treat visitors with legitamit questions concerning the ministry you attend. I have attended services at the Potters House twice and met this young man while in attendance. I contemplated coming back more but wanted to know more about the ministry....its apperent this young man is not a good reflection for whatever Jakes is doing over there. With that in mind....the photos were touched up on his blog and its true he does wear the earring when not preaching. His flock apperently "does not care" and I guess neither should we.

Next stop for me (now that I am a new resident in Dallas texas) is to find an apostolic church that teaches and believes the whole truth.....I'm over this whole thing now.

That's the beauty of freedom of choice......if you don't agree with the leadership's stance on issues, you can always attend another church.

I have a friend whose uncle attends there. He said that Jakes
hasn't been preaching but rather flying in a lot of guest speakers
due to sickness ( not sure what it is).

Carlton Pearson said a long time ago that Jakes privately told
him that he believed in inclusion doctrine too but could never
preach it. Of course Jakes denied and denounced it but I sometimes
wonder if Carlton was actually telling the truth ??? There's a lot
of red flags going on (not referring to the earring).

I have a friend who has rubbed shoulders with a lot of big
name preachers who are popular. people would be VERY
surprised as to how some of these people have compromised
since obtaining success

Ooooo Weeee aint t that the truth. For instance in my current organization there are pastors who have not even reached the "fame or fortune" status and are comprimising left and right. I think its safe to say that we are truly living in the last days...hands down.

Can't disagree with that. Most of them started from humble
beginnings but when they got power and money, they started
hanging around the stars. then started social drinking with them
and taking on their views and the liberal ideology of hollywood
