Last Saturday we had civic elections in Vancouver for Mayor, Council, School Board, & Parks Board.
Before the elections it was a right wing domination of council.
After the election the left wing swept all everything from the Mayor's chair to all the boards!
There was suspicions of corruption on the last election.
That isn't the bad thing.
What really floors me is this, many women (including a few in Church) said, "Oh, I will vote for him he's cute!"

I say repeal the vote for women!

I think I may tend to agree with you Brother Ron. The good book clearly states that a woman is in no way permitter to say anything in the church.
Why should we be alloowed to have a say in politics and things that holiness women should not get themselves all tangled up in.

Well, is it any different than some of the reasons voters gave on voting for Obama? Some of them didn't know why they voted. Change just sounded good to them.
BUT, for a woman to say they voted for a male candidate because he was cute - idiots!!! He better be smart and good-looking!
Funny, but I have to agree with this. It is similar to the Rush proclaiming that women should not be allowed on juries when the defendant is a hunk (in response to the Menendez brothers trial several years ago).

Then men shouldn't be allowed on juries when the defendant is a beautiful (or sexy) woman.

Those women who do cast their vote for such frivolous reasons (and there are those who do) deal a monumental insult to those women before them who went through so much to see women's suffrage come to being.
