I want to slash the deficit in half after huge sp

Tell me Obama's got to be kidding. He wants to slash the deficit in half after driving it through the roof with "stimulus". Or I should say he wants me to believe that.

OK, is that supposed to be the feel good news after this financial hangover feeling I've got from this pork laden "stimulus" bill. After it was shoved down our collective throats with no time for discussion or to even to look at the thing.

Oh hey, more good new for you. Obama is extremely concerned about shoring up Social Security. Well maybe not quite that concerned. Because before social security woes are addressed he's going to make sure the national health care system is implemented at an unfathomable cost.

If you're counting on social security being fixed, hey you better wake up because it aint on the front burner. After the national health care is implemented we'll have more illegal aliens to care for than you can possibly imagine. You might feel slighted because you've paid into social security for many years. Oh well, go the back of the line. Your money needs to be distrubuted to needier people

dude, in a month he has sucked a thousand points out of the stock market. he had to say something....

but it didnt work. today after saying he would cut the deficit in half and he wouldnt nationalize Citi, the stock market drops 250 points.

nobody believes him.

Obama is proving to not only be a liberal facist but a bit skitsophrinic!

the Dems always find a way to destroy themselves. Carter destroyed them for 12 years....and BHO will probably be just as bad....but people will vote for him again because they think he needs more time and his race.

Re: I want to slash the deficit in half after huge

Nobody's mentioning that President Obama said,

"Yesterday, I held a fiscal summit where I pledged to cut the deficit in half by the end of my first term in office. My administration has also begun to go line by line through the federal budget in order to eliminate wasteful and ineffective programs. As you can imagine, this is a process that will take some time. But we’re starting with the biggest lines. We have already identified two trillion dollars in savings over the next decade.

In this budget, we will end education programs that don’t work and end direct payments to large agribusinesses that don’t need them. We’ll eliminate the no-bid contracts that have wasted billions in Iraq, and reform our defense budget so that we’re not paying for Cold War-era weapons systems we don’t use. We will root out the waste, fraud, and abuse in our Medicare program that doesn’t make our seniors any healthier, and we will restore a sense of fairness and balance to our tax code by finally ending the tax breaks for corporations that ship our jobs overseas."
- Remarks of President Barack Obama – As Prepared for Delivery Address to Joint Session of Congress Tuesday, February 24th, 2009
While the President's stimulus package will cost an estimated 800 billion, they've already identified where they can save 2 trillion dollars over the next decade... and they've yet to finish reviewing the federal budget. So the Administration has already found ways to save over twice the cost of the stimulus package. It's really not that hard to grasp the strong possibility of slashing the deficit in half in four years. It's an uphill fight because the Republicans will fight tooth and nail to protect their corporate welfare schemes and crusty Democrats will try to protect their outdated programs and projects. But my point is...if Obama uses his political capital well, and implements vision from the DLC, it's entirely possible.

sometimes i really wish i could live back in that bubble where i believed that politicans cared for anything other than keeping their jobs....but I can't.

friend if you choose to drink the kool-aid...at least keep some pepto close by.

you cannot cut spending and increase programs...and congress will never pass a spending slash that could cost them their jobs. remember...some of these guys have been in office for over 30 years...they are status-quo guys...they've seen presidents come and go....but they are still there...and as long as they are nothing will change.

Here is what "we see"

As someone who has family members that have personality traits like those of Obama, I know the emotional strain of dealing with this type of person. Here are just a couple of identifiers of what is called a “Malignant Narcissist.”

-All malignant narcissists are cases of arrested development. (malignant narcissists are pathological children)
-The narcissist has a pathological need for all attention in every context he finds himself in.
-This is attached to his transcendent sense of entitlement.
-The malignant narcissist’s pathological need to have it all leads to his existence of being pathologically envious.
-The malignant narcissist is a predatory animal.
-The malignant narcissist is a chameleon.
-All malignant narcissists are parasitical.
-In every situation the parasitical narcissist is preening himself.
-We are only objects to the narcissist.

Now go look and follow the money. Obama pork is directed to validate his ego. He isn't generous with the poor. he is generous with Planned parenthood that strokes his ego and aborts the poor.
