Smile Have Passport Will Travel

Have any of you applied for passports lately? It took mine 4 months to be processed. I have not been out of the country since 1993 when I went to London. I lost my passport and had to replace it. I am set to go for the next ten years and GO is what I plan on doing. I have a friend who lives in Germany and I may go see her.

Where I dream of going: Paris, Cyprus, Ireland, Australia, and even Canada. I'd love to go on an Alaskan cruise in August. I think I would like to go to Africa, and Thailand...as well as Brazil & Ecuador.

Where would you like to go, and why?

Blessings, Rhoni

Sis. Alvear,

The church here has put off the missions trip until Feb. because the price of things went up with the currency change over there. I intend to get there and come and see you folks and help if I can.

Are you still coming here next month? Please look me up if you come and visit your sister here.

Love & Prayers, Rhoni

I read the other day where the passport agency has been backed up for months but are now caught up.

My passport is still good for a few years but my wife needs to get a new one. Hers runs out in less than a year.

After this Jan / Feb Hawaii trip my next big trip I hope to take is Australia in 2009 or 2010. My wife doesn't want to go on an airplane that long so I think I will be doing that one alone unless one of my grown children wants to come.

I also want to save money and then check SkyAuction daily to try and catch a really cheap round trip ticket back to London for a quickie long weekend trip. London is my favorite city in the world!!

CC1,

I know what you mean about the flying thing. We planned a sibling get-a-way to Cancun and the sisters and I are going Saturday but my brother is deathly afraid of flying and won't even attempt to go with us. Take one of the kids.

There is a little Italian bistro across the street from Harrod's that has awesome food. I enjoyed traveling on the double decker buses in London and they serve tea in them. The tea over there is so good.:sshhh

Blessings, Rhoni

When we went to Europe last year we spent a couple of nights in London at the end of the trip before flying home and our hotel was just a couple of blocks from Selfridges so that was nice! Of course we had to go to Harrods and Mrs. CC1 fulfilled her dream of buying Royal Doulton China there and having it shipped home. It is ugly!!! It is that old, old patter of flowers. It is what she wanted though.

One of my favorite things in London is the theater. Last summer we went to see the stage production of Mary Poppins. It was pretty good but not near as good as My Fair Lady and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which we saw the last time there.

I just love the theater. I haven't went to it in London but would like to my next trip in. I have seen Romeo & Juliet, Hello Dolly, and La Boehm [opera]. I won a free ticket to one in Indiana and no one wanted to go with me they thought it was silly. Many Apostolics were raised that going to the theater was wrong so they never formed the passion for it. The first time I went I was hooked.

China from Harrod's - wow that must have cost you an arm and a leg. I can understand her wanting the pattern but my taste runs more oriental.
