UPC Has A Hair Cutting Party

Now that TV has been voted in they put 100 barber chairs on the platform of conference and had all the ladies cut their hair while the men danced around rejoicing.....

Isn't that ridiculous...but there are those who seem to think that this is what will happen now....

AND IT WON'T HAPPEN!!!

There are MANY CON and MOD preachers who have NO intention of EVER LEAVING the UPC and WILL NOT allow the standards to be thrown away!!!

I just don't get the whole "we've lost it all" mentality!!!!!

TV allowance will not make one iota of difference in the UPC!

It is rediculous to think....

TV will not change what the UPC is...radio hasn't, internet broadcasting hasn't, preachers praying with Bill Clinton hasn't......

I personally find this thread revolting. You are no longer a card carrying member of the UPC therefore you really have no personal stock in it's demise nor it's prospering. So why all of the concern?

Why would you poke fun at a group of BRETHREN that are obviously hurting? This a major happening in our ranks. We have some that feel like they have been broadsided and are reeling from the outcome of yesterday's vote. But we have bystanders looking in and making light of something so monumental.

The broadness of resolution #4 is the fault of every "no" vote on the amandment. I understand that. But let's let them deal with this without all of the joking.

You are in no place to tell me when and where I can post or to reprimand me on any fashion so I'd suggest you just stick with the subject.

I have every right to have an opinion in this matter and you have no right to tell me that just because I left I can't talk about it. I just hate it when you guys pull that card..."you left you have no voice"....I have a voice here because I am a participating member of this forum. So you can take your little immature self to another thread if you don't particularly like this one...ok.

Now, i am not belittling anyone...I just don't think the UPC is going to be effected in such a way as to merit the level of fear being generated...

The UPC is not going to lose its standards over TV....

Why that opinion is insulting to you looney...I don't know.

The opinion concerning the UPC and losing it's standards is not my beef. That is an opinion and you are certainly entitled to it, sir. The title of the thread, the first sentence and the general tone of both is my problem. It has an air of joviality, of poking fun at a fear that some have. It is not totally unfounded. Neither you nor I really know where this will lead. Only time will truly tell us which direction the organization will take and the impact res #4 will have.

I am fully aware of what this post is about. If you will read my previous post you will see that I specified the reasons for my posting on this thread. So I am smart enough to know what a thread is concerning.

I understand that there is a sarcastic tone to the title and the first line. I just think that it has no place right now, IMO.

I don't think the thread about the UPC Eulogy has a place right now!

They've got the UPC dead...where is your outrage there?

Your heart shows...you have more loyalty to those who will leave and become independent than you do to the heritage of the UPC....figures.

I thought you guys loved the UPC......hmmmmmm....

Furthermore...the threads about preachers leaving have no place....and the bye bye kp thread has no place...and all of the other fear mongering threads and the threads about this being the sad day in the UPC and the threads about the UPC will lose everything and the threads about TV ruining the org and the threads about TV making the UPC women Tammy Fayes and Jan Crouches......have no place right now either....
